The New York State Department of Transportation issued an alert cautioning that there will be a ramp closure on the parkway northbound at exit 43A (northbound Route 82) between 10 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 18, to allow contractors to continue work in the area.
During the project, there will be a posted detour, and motorists have been advised to seek alternate routes, when possible.
According to the NYSDOT, “motorists are reminded that fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. In accordance with the Work Zone Safety Act of 2005, convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of an individual’s driver license.”
